100-Hour Kundalini Yoga Certification Course, Goa (12 Days Residential Immersion)

Kundalini Yoga Certification in Goa: 100-Hour Residential Immersion
A residential path to a genuine Kundalini yoga certification — Satyananda lineage, 12 days, between a retreat and the full 200-hour training.
Search “Kundalini yoga certification” and you’ll land almost entirely in one of two places: the KRI/Aquarian Teacher pathway — the Yogi Bhajan-lineage certification most Western search results default to — or a generic roundup comparing three or four online courses. Almost nothing tells you these are two genuinely different traditions with different technique sets, different certifying bodies, and different histories. And almost nobody offers a real in-person alternative grounded in the other major Kundalini lineage.
This is that alternative. Here’s what a Kundalini yoga certification through this program actually involves, how it’s different from what most search results show you, and what to check before you commit to any Kundalini certification path, ours or anyone else’s.

Two Certification Paths You Should Know About First
Most people searching for a Kundalini yoga certification don’t realize there are two largely separate traditions carrying that name.
KRI / “Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan.” This is the dominant Western pathway — the Aquarian Teacher program, 220 hours, certified through the Kundalini Research Institute. It’s the most name-recognized Kundalini credential and the one most Western studios default to expecting. It’s also the lineage that underwent a serious reckoning in 2020, when an independent investigation by An Olive Branch concluded it was “more likely than not” that Yogi Bhajan committed sexual abuse against followers over decades. KRI has continued operating and remains the largest certifying body in this lineage; whether to train within it post-investigation is a genuinely personal decision, and any program in that lineage should be willing to discuss that history directly with you.
Satyananda–Sivananda lineage. This is a separate, older tradition, rooted in Indian ashram teaching rather than the 1968 Western import that became 3HO. Different kriya sequencing, different textual sources, different certifying structure — no KRI affiliation, no connection to that specific history. This program certifies within this lineage.
Neither is more “real” than the other. But if you’re specifically looking for KRI/Aquarian Teacher certification, this program is not that, and you should know that before reading further. If you want the older, India-based tradition — or you’ve read about the KRI history and want a certification path outside it entirely — this is built for you.
Is This Kundalini Yoga Certification Recognized?
Directly, since this is the question almost everyone actually has: this program is taught under Pradip Krishna’s ERYT 500 credentialing, the same standing that governs our 200-hour Kundalini Kriya Yoga Teacher Training and the online Upward Spiral program. If you’re already a registered yoga teacher, these 100 hours are generally usable as continuing education hours toward maintaining your registration.
What it is not, and what almost no legitimate 100-hour Kundalini program anywhere actually is, is a standalone pathway to Yoga Alliance RYT-200 registration. That requires a minimum of 200 hours, full stop — this is true of our own 200-hour program, KRI’s 220-hour Aquarian Teacher path, and every other credible teacher-training route in either lineage. If your goal is to register as a teacher, this program is your foundation; the 200-hour training is what gets you across that specific line — see exactly what that program includes day to day before deciding which one fits. Anyone telling you a 100-hour program alone makes you an RYT is not being straight with you.
The honest position: this is a genuine credential in the Satyananda lineage, taught under ERYT 500 faculty, usable as continuing education. It is not a shortcut around the 200-hour minimum for RYT registration — and no legitimate program in either lineage is.
What You’ll Actually Learn
This is a genuine 100-hour Kundalini yoga course, not a diluted preview of the 200-hour training. It covers structured kriya sequences, sustained pranayama, chakra and nadi study, mantra and kirtan, meditation technique, and yoga philosophy — the full foundational arc of Satyananda-lineage Kundalini Kriya practice, taught residentially rather than compressed into pre-recorded modules.
It’s the same curriculum backbone as the online Upward Spiral program, condensed and deepened by being delivered in person, day after day, in the environment the tradition was actually built to be taught in.

The 12-Day Arc
Foundations
Arrival, orientation, breath and posture fundamentals, and a clear introduction to what distinguishes this lineage from the Kundalini tradition most participants have previously encountered.
Core Kriya Work
Structured kriya sequences build daily alongside sustained pranayama and the start of chakra and nadi study — the block where the nervous-system shift most participants notice starts to compound.
Integration
Mantra and kirtan, deeper meditation sits, and philosophy sessions connecting practice to its textual roots, with rest periods protected deliberately as part of how the work actually lands, not as padding.
Retreat Completion
Participants who came for the retreat experience only, without pursuing certification, conclude here.
Assessment & Certification
For those continuing: structured technique review, a written component, and the Kundalini Kriya certification itself.

Who This Is For
Yoga teachers and holistic practitioners who want a real, checkable Kundalini yoga certification in the Satyananda–Sivananda lineage — something they can name specifically in a bio or to a client — without committing to a full 200-hour teaching credential. It’s also the natural next step after completing Upward Spiral online, or for anyone who started out considering the retreat and decided partway through that they want the certificate too.
It is not the right choice if your goal is Yoga Alliance RYT registration in this lineage — that’s what the 200-hour training is for.
Who Should Not Attend
Sustained breathwork and kriya practice aren’t appropriate for everyone, and this program carries the same contraindications as our other residential Kundalini programs: significant cardiovascular conditions, epilepsy, uncontrolled hypertension, pregnancy (individual assessment required), active acute psychiatric episodes, and severe unresolved trauma without existing therapeutic support.
Worth reading beforehand if it applies to you: what a genuine Kundalini awakening experience actually looks like, so you know what’s ordinary nervous-system processing versus something to flag. And if you’re preparing to practice at this intensity, our guide on how to prepare the body and nervous system is worth reading in advance.
The full contraindications breakdown is in our retreat guide — read it before applying. A legitimate program asks about your health history upfront; treat any that doesn’t as a red flag.
If you’re carrying significant trauma or working through acute psychological stress, our guide to how the vagus nerve and trauma release intersect with Kundalini practice explains why in-person training with a teacher physically present offers a safety margin no online format fully replicates.
In-Person vs. Online Kundalini Certification
If travel to India isn’t realistic right now, the live online Upward Spiral program covers the same lineage and foundational curriculum across seven live weekends, at a lower cost, with a certificate carrying the same ERYT 500 credentialing. What you trade for the lower cost and flexibility is the residential environment and hands-on correction. Our full comparison of online vs. in-person Kundalini training goes into this trade-off in real depth if you’re deciding between the two.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this Kundalini yoga certification recognized by Yoga Alliance?
It’s taught under ERYT 500 credentialing and is generally usable as continuing education hours for already-registered teachers. It is not, on its own, a pathway to RYT-200 registration — that requires the full 200 hours, in this lineage or any other.
Is this the same as KRI or Yogi Bhajan-lineage Kundalini certification?
No. This is Satyananda–Sivananda lineage, a separate tradition with no KRI affiliation. If you’re specifically looking for Aquarian Teacher/KRI certification, that’s a different pathway entirely.
How much does a Kundalini yoga certification cost in this program?
Tuition-only runs €694 (early bird) to €784 (full price) for the 12-day, 100-hour immersion, matching official pricing. Accommodation and meals are additional and listed on the current pricing page.
Can I get this Kundalini yoga certification online instead?
Yes — the Upward Spiral program covers the same lineage and curriculum across seven live online weekends, at a lower cost, under the same credentialing.
Can I decide partway through whether to do the retreat or the full certification?
Yes. You can begin on the retreat-only track and extend into the certification days once you’re there, subject to space.
What’s the cohort size?
Small, typically 6–8 participants, consistent with our other residential Kundalini programs.
